Hi, I’m Calisha, a Mental Health Counselor–LP with over 19 years of experience supporting adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I’m also certified as a School Counselor and School Psychologist, and I bring a broad, real-world perspective to the work I do with clients. I previously served as an adjunct professor in the School Counseling Master’s program at Roberts Wesleyan University.

I help people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted, whether they’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, grief, or major life transitions. I have specialized training in Trauma, Illness, and Grief (TIG) and offer trauma-informed care that is both compassionate and practical.

My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I believe counseling should feel supportive but also purposeful, helping you better understand yourself, regulate emotions, and move forward with clarity and confidence. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, and biofeedback, tailoring each session to your goals and pace.

Outside the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors throughout the Finger Lakes, camping, boating, and staying active in all seasons. These experiences help me stay grounded and present and reinforce the importance of balance and intentional living, both personally and professionally.
